New look for Viasat’s channels

Viasat Broadcasting, part of the international entertainment company Modern Times Group (MTG), announced the rebranding of its pay-TV channels. OnTuesday 29 April all channels will get a new look and feel.   All rebranded channels will get a new logo, benefit from a new on-air package and off-air identity. The new logos and look have been optimised to look good on any device to support multi-screen viewing on all TV Everywhere services.

The channels that will be rebranded are the factual channels Viasat Explorer, Viasat Crime, Viasat Nature and Viasat History.

Laetitia Royaards, Head of Pay-TV Africa commented: “We have invested in stronger content and offer more exclusive premieres than ever before on our channels. The new, exciting look and feel reflects the new channel identities and the high quality new programme line-up. At the same time more and more viewers are enjoying our stories on mobile devices around the world and the rebrand was a natural step to improve the viewing experience everywhere.

“Our portfolio of factual channels tell the best and most engaging stories and have become must-have channels for platform operators worldwide.”

To better reflect the diverse range of programming we deliver, Viasat Explorer will change its name to Viasat Explore.

Viasat Explore is curious, adventurous and determined – exploring the new and unusual is what drives and excites us. From the latest scientific breakthroughs to the everyday lives of the engaging characters on our channel that do things just a little bit differently.

Viasat Crime is a an entertaining factual channel which carries a mixture of unsolved Crime and mystery investigations, as well as programmes about police work, criminal masterminds and daring heists.

Viasat Nature lets nature tell its own inspiring story. Our presenters, wildlife experts and everyday people, are immersed in their compelling stories, on the ground; up close and personal.

Viasat History brings history to life with captivating documentaries that take a fresh, modern look into history. We take our viewers on a powerful journey through time with intelligent, well researched programmes that entertain and challenge their minds. Our main focus is on history, revealing the secrets of the past and how it defines us today.
